A Thriving Midtown Arts District

It’s just a short walk to meet our artsy new neighbors at 1320 North Third Street, a half-block away:

The Hodgepodgery, affectionately called “Ho-Po” by those in the know, offers hand-made, repurposed, and recycled arts and crafts galore.

And introducing award-winning children’s book illustrator Jonathan Bean, Midtown’s new artist-in-residence.  His third-floor studio is open to the public on 3rd Fridays, with art activities for children.  Here’s what he offered in June:

    Just have to say that Dr. Anita Voelker was fantastic, and I’m so glad we brought our kids in for the event today.
